Free Jazz Concert

Ashland's Big Bands and All That Jazz Society will play host to Cleveland vocalist Barbara Knight.

Knight and her jazz ensemble of trumpeter Jack Schantz, pianist Phil Landry, bassist Tim Powell and drummer Jim Rupp.

Knight was a vocalist with the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. She also worked with national big bands such as the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and Harry James Orchestra. In May 2001, she recorded her first compact disc, "Night And Day", with the CJO plus strings. In 2003, she made her Severance Hall debut as the guest vocalist with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra.

There is no cover charge but donations are welcome to cover their expenses.
